Mummy Says…Finally, Cool Clothes For Boys!

little bou cool clothes for boysAll Mummies know that shopping for little girls is a joy - pretty dresses from Monsoon, funky tshirts from H&M and great basics from Gap, even Asda and Tesco offer the odd decent thing for your little girl whether she’s a pink princess or a dedicated wearer of quirky spots and stripes.

Used to picking up something lovely for Lil wherever I went like most mums I despaired when Ted arrived and I found that the High Street just doesn’t do good boys clothes. No wonder the T-man feels a bit like this.. Ted

I’ve recently been given the link to Little Bou, an online shop which caters solely for small chaps with an eye for style. Creator Lucinda Hawley, like myself, found it nigh on impossible to find decent clothes for her little boy Oliver and with a bit of research found that 90% of mums felt exactly the same way. So rather than sit on her bum complaining like the rest of us she went forth and selected the very best clothes for boys from brands such as Aravore (watch this space for our review of their full range), Ej Sikke Lej (mummy’s absolute favourite), Milibe and Bobux as well as loads of other great labels. The result is an easily navigated collection of super cool graphic prints, simple basics, luxe baby pieces and funky wee shoes for boys from newborn to four. Not a ‘Mummy’s Little Monster’ tshirt or twee baby blue in sight.

Some other boy clothes favourites…

Molly ‘n’ Jack @ Mini Mode : retro styling at very reasonable price, although 42 girls pieces to 10 boys items is a pretty poor show.

Tu @ Sainsburys : Ted lives in their long denim shorts which cost an impressive £2 a pair.

Nordic Kids : One of Mummy’s all time favourite shops…can’t resist those so-much-cooler-than-the-UK prints

Boden : Here the boys threads totally outdo the girls (Boden cropped trews far too ubiquitous)

We supply gorgeous Baby Gifts, including the Emile et Rose Collection of outfits. We decided to stock this label as the outfits for boys are just as detailed and attractive as those for the girls. I do agree, it can be difficult to find a designer with equality between the sexes.
