Dear Father Christmas, Mummy Wants…
The Toddler Review Mummies test the very best gifts under the TTR tree this year. Because they deserve presents the most…
Lil’s Mummy Tests:
Miessence Skin Essentials - Balancing
£67.80
Mummy loves Miessence because it’s organic, pampering and was sent to us by mega-Mummy-of-four Marianna. We love it because it smells ‘yummy’ and makes her face feel ‘delicious and soft’, even after she’s been in bed with piggy flu for two days. Marianna assures us that her toddler uses grown up Miessence as well as the great baby stuff (includes barrier balm and bottom mist) which is just as well because we’ve been smearing Balancing Skin Conditioner on ourselves quite generously!
Luke Tests:
Madara Skin Regenerating Kit
£35
Mama tried Madara’s Regenerating Night Cream (buy individually for £25) out when she went to bed very late after the Toddler Review Christmas party (she had lots of ‘grown-up juice’ there) – and I helped her test it by getting up very early. She says she looked a lot better than she should have the next morning. When I accidentally whacked her round the face, I thought she smelled very nice and her skin felt very soft – nearly as soft as mine…
Madara Skin Regenerating Kit also contains 10ml Regenerating Lip Balm. Nummy.
Ted Tests:
Kazuri Cherry Red Bracelet
£20
Me try. Me try. Me try…whoops. This bracelet isn’t made for Teds because of the snappiness. So Mummy weared it instead and it looks pretty. She says it seems much more expensiver than it costs, which is £20. Daddy says that I can pay twenty from my Peter Rabbit money box and still have some left over for chips. Mummy says she likes Blue Dog Jewellery because its a bit different and because 10% of sales go to the MicroLoan Foundation which helps women and their families in Africa.
Lil & Ted Test:
ALSO Home Goldfish Cup and Saucer Set
£20
Daddy, Mummy says she wants this for Christmas. It’s cups in a box. And little plates. The cups go on top of the little plates. We’re not allowed to touch because the cups and little plates are smashy but we liked putting our hands inside the nice shiny box (Mummy says it’s ‘lack-urred’) and Ted liked the fishies on the cups. They’re not Gold Fishies. They’re Black and White Fishies. Daddy probably won’t be that impressed because he likes tea in a BIG cup but Mummy can have her fancy tea in them. Or put her earrings in.
Mummy Tests:
Mummy Mitts
£17.99
When you’re in town dealing with screaming kids, ringing mobile phones, trying to find the change in the bottom of your purse for that very-urgent-indeed packet of apple slices and negotiating the double buggy round a tiny corner shop anything that makes life easier is a must. Hence Mummy Mitts. They attach to your buggy and you slip your hands in and out, as needed (about fifteen times a minute)! Simply genius. Mummy loves them, Daddy wishes he’d invented them first.
Lillie Tests:
Aromatherapy Associates Precious Oils
£12
This is a nice present for Mummy because she likes things that smell nice. One of them smells ‘ummmmmmm’ and Mummy wanted to know if ‘frankesensmurr’ was the stuff they gave to the Baby Jesus in our nativity play. I don’t know what she’s talking about, that was definitely in much bigger boxes and didn’t smell. It says the ‘frankesensmurr’ oil is for inner peace. Mummy says not likely. The other one, which goes in baths and showers too, is Clementine and Ginger, Ted smelled that and said ‘mmmm mmmm mmm’.
All The Mummies Test:
Jacob’s Creek Blanc de Blancs
£9.99 or £56.94 for a case
Lillie and Ted’s Mummy asked Luke’s Mummy, Elliott and Zach’s Mummy and Eva and Mae’s Mummy if they wanted to try some fizzy wine. They had already tried the mulled wine and snowballs but agreed that, seeing as it was Christmas and they ought to test some things for TTR they would give it a pop. Eva’s Mummy overfizzed it, which was probably why it went so quickly. The mummies agree that sparkling wine is just as good as champagne, which gives them all headaches, and cheaper too.
