With tent technology and camping equipment having moved on somewhat since the halcyon days of real canvas tents that weighed a tonne and took 6 hours to pitch, there’s never been a better time to get back to nature and enjoy the great outdoors.

This year I was the lucky recipient of a lie-in until 9am, breakfast in bed (waffles, syrup and cripsy bacon with fresh orange juice and coffee) and a trio of Toblerone’s (traditional milk chocolate, new fangled honeycomb crisp and fruit & nut).

As part of my ongoing quest to avoid becoming middle aged, me, my moustache and fellow dad Ben rocked up to heavy metal-fest Download in Castle Donington last Friday to re-live our youth and jump around like loons to the one and only Faith No More.
