Three Bags Full Merino Tops

Ted: “Wear tractor…TRACTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR”
Normally I wouldn’t advocate the spending of £30 on a child’s top. Some would of course but for me personally I’d choose four tops from H&M. Considering that I have, in the past, spent upwards of two hundred smackers on items for myself it’s fair to assume this is more to do with the fact that my darling chilblains are two of the messiest people this side of a Saturday morning television slime fest. If it’s not food it’s snot, if it’s not snot it’s mud and so on…
However I was talked in to two Three Bags Full Tops directly from our friends at Bambino Merino, purveyors of all things lovely. And God damn it they were spot on. If you’re going to splash out on one top quality item for your todds, make it one of these. Not only do they come in totally fab designs and colours which defy the laws of ‘baby pink for girls, baby blue for boys’ (if you hadn’t yet gathered, Mummy’s own personal pet hate) but they’re so practical it’s ridiculous.
As any parent knows it’s a constant struggle to keep a growing child’s wardrobe stocked. Getting all grandmotherly on you ‘they just grow so fast!’. Which means that everything you bought last winter is now woefully useless. Yet these lovely jubbly merino tops are perfect whatever the weather - just a wee bit warmer than a tee and a little smidge cooler than a jumper. Magic for the typical British weather. Example… Ted wore little else at this year’s Latitude festival at which the weather swerved from sweltering hot sun to thunder storms. The fine knit meant he could layer up with sweatshirts and coats or let his truck (we know it’s a truck, he insists it’s a tractor. This is not a negative comment against the designer - Ted thinks every vehicle is a tractor) do the talking while he got right on down to the Duckworth Lewis Method.
Practical, super cool and stylish too…we’ve got the other designs (four to choose from in all) on our winter wardrobe wish list!
Mummy x
