Bath time can be a stressful business. Water temperature, slippy surfaces, reluctant toddlers, soap in eyes, the ever present threat of Ted poo-ing under water etc. To be fair Lil and Ted do actually like getting into the bath, it’s more the getting out again part that they’re not too keen on, but one sticking point has always been the dreaded hair wash.

Lil will reluctantly oblige but inevitably scream blue murder as soon as I snag the slightest of knots or a drop of water goes in her eyes. Ted on the other hand has become wise to the whole process. At the sight of the shower being turned on he stands up and starts running up and down the length of the bath in order to avoid the evil watery spray of doom.

Whilst Schwarzkopf Supersoft Kids Shampoo & Conditioner does nothing to alleviate the whole Ted freaking out issue, it does seem to do the business when it comes to quickly washing and detangling kids hair. After all, why take two bottles into the fray when you only need one? It’s also one of the most economical shampoos we’ve used as you only need a tiny amount for each wash, even on our particularly hirsute twosome. The strawberry scent and no-tears formula also score highly with the kids and there’s Smurfs on the bottle too!

The piece de resistance however is the accompanying detangling spray from the same range, which is second to none for remedying those Stig of the Dump moments just before Nanna turns up. Simply spray on copious amounts, brush through and she’ll be none the wiser that her darling grandchildren haven’t had a bath for weeks.
