Lillie: ‘It’s got wings NEEEEOOOOOOOOOW!’
Ted: ‘weewee weewee weewee’
Granted, loo seats aren’t the most thrilling of subjects to read about but here we are reviewing the second seat in as many months. Thing is, when you have a toddler all things toilet seem to become of prime concern. It also becomes acceptable once your child hits two years old to start asking, at the top of your voice and in polite company “are you ready for that poo-poo yet?” I have also been known to announce to friends and family, in the absence of children, that “I’m just popping for a wee-wee.” But that may just be me.
Anyway, with this in mind here’s our newest loo seat review - Co-Op Xest’s Nobi (www.co-opXest.com) which has the appearance of an aeroplane (most exciting for the kids who immediately jumped on board for some ‘toilet flying’ in the middle of the living room) plus the added bonus of being a permanent fixture on your loo thanks to a double seat which attaches to your toilet with the kiddie seat flipping up, lid style to reveal a normal ‘adult’ seat. An improvement on lifting seats on and off constantly or perching atop a child seat (don’t pretend you haven’t). Of course fixing a loo seat on means that it isn’t portable which was one thing that set the Baby Bjorn apart however there are other benefits to this seat.
Designed primarily with the elderly or less mobile in mind the Nobi is absolutely perfect for the family who have both young children and grandparents or indeed for disabled parents - it’s a niche market granted, but there you have it. Steep at over £100, TTR probably wouldn’t buy it above another seat unless the above mobility/age situation presented itself. But then we’ve done just fine with the one we’ve got…perhaps if we started again we’d be swayed by the handy handles (which are worthwhile in early toilet training and er, ‘difficult’ poo situations) and the fact that this number is your one and only seat, nothing else required. Daddy has some concerns over the huuuuge wings but you know, work in a space themed bathroom and bob’s yer uncle.
